Helal Akreditasyon Kurumu

The main benefits of Helal program certification are:

Benefits of the 4C Association for producers:

  • Keeping up with the growing demand for sustainably grown coffee.
  • Coffee companies are aware of this growing demand and are looking for responsibly grown coffee. Through the rules of participation, 4C members from the trade and industry sector are committed to supporting producers. The Rules include the procurement of increasing quantities of 4C-compliant coffee.
  • Higher revenues thanks to better and more sustainable practices.
  • The 4C Code of Conduct is a tool to assist farmers in the process of implementing best agricultural, processing and management practices. In addition, with the help of the 4C Units, farmers and other business partners build bridges to provide information, tools and training to:
  • Increase yields through the application of better agricultural practices and access to new technologies, planting materials, etc.
  • Improve coffee quality by harvesting better quality beans or processing, drying, and storing them properly to preserve quality.
  • Minimize and make the best possible use of approved pesticides and fertilizers, and implement comprehensive pest management strategies to mitigate environmental damage and lower costs.
  • Maintain records of production activities, with a view to monitoring costs and identifying opportunities to increase efficiency.
  • Boost the organizational development and management capacity of farmer groups, to improve service delivery.

  • The green frog seal assures you that products and services are produced in a socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable manner, and the Rainforest Alliance uses the power of markets to stop the main drivers of deforestation and environmental destruction: timber extraction, agricultural expansion, cattle ranching, and tourism. We work to ensure that millions of hectares of productive forests, farms, cattle lands and hotel properties are managed according to rigorous sustainability standards.

Workers benefit from a cleaner, safer and more dignified workplace where their rights are respected. The certification offers farmers better access to buyers of specialized products, contractual stability, favorable credit options, advertising, technical assistance, and “premium” markets. Most farmers get a better price because their farms are certified. The quality of the farm’s product, be it cocoa, coffee, banana, or tea, usually improves.
